Delete your UPSO account

Last updated: October 23, 2026

You can delete your UPSO account at any time. Here is how, and what happens to your information.

How to delete

  1. In the UPSO Pro app: open Account and tap Delete my account at the bottom.
  2. On the website: sign in. Pros open Account, then Delete my account. Customers open Settings, then Delete Account.
  3. Can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We confirm by email that the request came from you before we delete anything, and we finish within 30 days.

If you are a Pro, before you confirm

  • Finish, cancel or hand over first: any booked job, any upcoming shift spot, and any Pro company you own that has other crew on it. Closing your account doesn't cancel a job you already accepted.
  • Cash out your UPSO wallet. If we still owe you pay, add your tax number and payout account so it reaches you.
  • You will see, in plain words, what is removed now, what we keep and why, and any pay still owed to you. Then type DELETE and enter the code we text you. No password is needed.
  • Your account closes at once and you are signed out. A confirmation email lists what was removed and what was kept. Pay already on its way is still sent by Stripe; we keep your payout link only until the last payout leaves.

Removed right away

  • Your profile, photo, bio, services and rates
  • Your phone number and email
  • Your vehicles, and your uploaded ID and screening documents
  • Your location history (per-job trails within 30 days of the job)
  • Push notifications and marketing messages
  • Your sign-in

What we keep, and why

  • Tax records, 6 years: for Pros, your legal name, address, tax number (SIN or business number) and everything we paid you, kept 6 years from the end of the tax year, as the Income Tax Act requires.
  • Job records: job dates and times, pay, tips, and the disclosures and notices we sent, kept 6 years as tax records. For Send and Sidekick errand lanes, Ontario's Digital Platform Workers' Rights Act separately requires 3 years after your access ends.
  • Qualification notes: a note of which documents were checked and when, kept with job records to show you were qualified for each job.
  • Insurance certificate: kept locked for 2 years in case a claim comes in.
  • Reviews: reviews you received are kept for 3 years, shown as "Former Pro" with dates shown by month. They are still treated as personal information and protected the same way.
  • Open matters: records tied to an open claim, dispute or safety report are kept until it is settled.
  • Customers: order and payment records are kept 6 years for tax law. Your name is taken off them, but we still treat them as your personal information.
  • Stripe, which sends Pro payouts, keeps its own records under its own privacy policy.

Everything else is deleted when your account closes. Where the law requires us to keep something, that duty overrides deletion. Where you have an open access request or complaint, we keep the relevant information until you have used your options to pursue it.
