UPSO Technologies Inc. is a Canadian company building a single app for the services a city actually runs on — groceries and local shops, couriers, skilled trades, hourly help, intercity rides and a neighbour-to-neighbour marketplace.

What we run

Six services on one account, one payment method and one support line, with the same vetted local Pros moving between them.

• ·Services — Vetted, insured Pros for trades and skilled work.
• ·Sidekick — Hourly help for the jobs that do not need a tradesperson.
• ·Caravan — Shared intercity rides between Ontario cities.
• ·NeighborGoods — A local marketplace with protected handoffs.

Where we are

Kingston and Brantford, Ontario. Pros are onboarding now and the platform is in testing ahead of opening to customers. We are deliberately signing up the supply side first: a local services app is only worth opening once there is someone to answer the job.

How we think about it

Cities this size are usually handed software built for somewhere else and run from somewhere else, with the margin leaving town. UPSO is built and operated here, Pros set their own rate and keep 85% plus tips, and customers see every fee itemised before they confirm rather than after.
